Locking Calcaneal Plate 2.7mm finds use for the treatment of fractures of the heel bone (calcaneus). This orthopedic implant may also be used for the treatment of other orthopedic conditions occurring in the calcaneus. Some of those conditions include osteotomies, intra-articular and extra-articular fractures, comminuted fractures, deformities, and malunions.
Locking Calcaneal Plates are designed having 15 holes to accommodate different fracture patterns. These plates have bendable tabs that offer support to the plantar fragments. One of the advantages of calcaneal plates is that multiple point fixations of small fragments can easily be achieved.
