Locking - DHS 135 Deg. Long Barrel is indicated to be used for the treatment of different types of proximal femoral fractures. Both stable and unstable fractures can be fixed using this orthopedic implant. Types of fractures for which this DHS barrel is used include subtrochanteric fractures, intertrochanteric fractures of type A3, basilar neck fractures B1, B2, and B3, and pertrochanteric fractures of type A1 and A2. Proper reaming, tapping, and lag screw insertion depth can be measured using this DHS implant. It is designed having combi-holes, and hence, both locking and cortical screws can be used with this barrel.
