My Health, My Right — Why Healthcare Access Still Matters in Our Communities
Most people don't think about their health until it gets worse. A child burning up with fever at midnight and a chest ache that has been quietly building for weeks and is no longer ignorable suddenly nothing else matters except where to go and what it is going to cost. That pressure should not exist. World Health Day exists to challenge that reality and hold up one position that does not waver. Access to medical care is not something handed out selectively to those with the means to afford it. It is a right. In cities like Ghaziabad, where hospitals are being built faster than health awareness is spreading, that point still needs to be made clearly.
