A Hairpin Type Heat Exchanger (also known as a Hairpin Exchanger or Double-Pipe Heat Exchanger) is a compact and efficient heat transfer device used in industrial applications where space constraints or high-pressure/temperature conditions are a concern. It consists of one or more concentric tubes bent into a "U" (hairpin) shape, allowing one fluid to flow inside the inner tube while another flows in the annular space between the inner and outer tubes.
