In my role as a nurse in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, I oversee the induction of new nurses and student nurses, guiding them through the complexities of patient care. Through structured inductions, I provide hands-on learning opportunities, such as assisting in childbirth and routine examinations. Additionally, I share my expertise using reflective and constructivist learning theories to empower students in tasks like venepuncture, ensuring practical knowledge application. Continuous supervision guarantees a seamless integration of theory and practise for optimal patient care.
