TAAROA has developed titanium foils with a titanium fuselage. The fuselage is a very complex and highly stressed part of the foil because it undergoes big torsional and flexional constraints. Unlike carbon, which consists of fibers, titanium is an isotropic material. In other words, its behavior remains homogeneous regardless of the direction of the effort, whether it is flexional or torsional. That specific behavior of the material allows us to optimize the shape of our titanium fuselage by reducing its size by 20% compared to an aluminum fuselage, while being more resistant, therefore enhancing its performance.
