Winnipeg Firefighters Battle Multiple Blazes in a Single Day

On February 9, 2025, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) faced a tough challenge, responding to three fires within 24 hours.

The first fire struck a residential neighborhood early in the morning, spreading rapidly due to strong winds. Fire crews acted quickly, preventing further destruction.

By the afternoon, a commercial building downtown caught fire, filling the area with thick smoke. Firefighters battled heavy conditions to contain the flames.
