AI Transforming Rural India UPSC

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming an essential source of inclusive rural development in India, to connect urban and rural populations and enable more than 65 per cent of the population that depends on agriculture and informal economies. Rural India has 6.5 lakh villages thus experiences difficulties such as the lack of access to education, healthcare and markets. The equitable growth suggested as a result of AI integration through Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) and governance reform will be in line with Viksit Bharat@2047. The AI governance in India focuses on fairness, responsibility, transparency, and risk reduction based on context, eliminating exclusion and administrative damage.
