The goals of renewable energy (RE) in India are becoming more of structurally bottlenecked than generation-drawn targets. The crisis, which is highlighted at the Bharat Climate Forum (BCF) 2026, is characterized by overwhelming transmission congestion and institutional stagnation, entrap green energy and cause financial ordeal to developers. This discrepancy between the planning and operation of infrastructure necessitates immediate intervention of policy, technical and regulation measures to avoid the stalling of the clean energy targets in India.
