AgriPV: Powering India’s Farms with Dual Use UPSC

Agri-photovoltaics (AgriPV) is a project that combines the production of solar energy with the cultivation of other farms in the same area, transforming farms into two-pole powerhouses. Placing high-altitude solar panels will allow India to optimize its land use, improve farmers revenues through electricity sales, minimize water loss through evaporation, and shield crops against heat stress and contribute to the 300 GW solar goal in India by 2030.
