Zopfresh 20 mg Zopiclone, which is a sedative-hypnotic drug, is indicated for treatment of insomnia. Zopiclone is in a drug category called cyclopyrrolones. Zopiclone works by decreasing activity in the brain in order to facilitate sleep. Zopiclone is generally administered as a tablet via the oral route at bedtime. Zopiclone is typically recommended for short-term use (this is generally considered less than 4 weeks) due to the potential for tolerance and habit and therefore extends use is avoided. Side effects are common. Side effects of zopiclone can include drowsiness, dizziness, and a production of an unpleasant bitter taste in the mouth. Zopiclone should not be taken with alcohol or with other sedative or hypnotic medication(s) concurrently. Zopiclone is also not recommended if you have a history of controlled substance diversion or alcohol abuse/dependence.
